Tip of the week

Jewelry-making threads are used for

  1. Stringing the beads or
  2. As a design element itself

Stringing threads like nylon threads, tiger tail(beading) wire, fishtail wire, fireline, wildfire, nymo etc are made of base materials like the nylon, plastic, metal etc which have an inherent nature to stretch. The cords used in braiding, lacing, knotting and other applications as a design element are also made of natural materials like cotton, silk, wool etc which also stretch. Jewellery made with wire loops also have the trouble of connected parts being under pressure when the jewellery is hung.

Hence, a preferred method of storing  Jewellery is by keeping it FLAT. You also need to take care to ensure that it is not placed one over the other.
